Volta Press is a letterpress, design, and book arts studio founded in 2007 by Laureen Mahler and John Peck. The studio began in Oakland, California and relocated to Berlin, Germany in 2014.

We specialize in creating distinctive printed works by hand, as well as teaching letterpress and creating design for print. Though most of our work focuses on letterpress, we also like to experiment with mixed media, including screenprint and Risograph.

In addition to pursuing our own printing and teaching, we also work in conjunction with BTK Hochschule für Gestaltung and Galerie P98A.
